Today I am going to do a review on Soap and Glory’s Sugar Crush Body Buttercream. I have heard a lot of great things about the Soap and Glory products, but I have never really tried any of them. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Soap and Glory products, they are bath, body and cosmetic products that originate from the UK. So about a week and a half ago I decided to head on over to Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up one of their products. Standing at the Soap and Glory ‘section’ or whatever you’d call it, (I don’t know really, it was like a little stand at the end of the body wash and deodorant isle,) I was observing the products. At this stand they had all of their products, and although their cosmetics looked very promising I was looking for more of a lotion or body butter type thing. So naturally I began to open every lotion-like product and started smelling everything. Through my strong sense of smell I can assure you that every single Soap and Glory product smells amazing (now I know I am not the only one, when shopping for lotions, who completely disregards the label and focuses on the scent of the product … Guilty!). When I opened the lid for the Sugar Crush Body Buttercream I swear, I died and went to heaven. It smells AHH-MAAAAZING! If you can imagine sweet fresh limes (not sour ones) and a creamy vanilla milkshake, and threw the two together… this is what it would smell like! I could not put it down after smelling it the first time, which yes, sounds incredibly creepy and weird but once you smell it you will understand… so of course I bought it with no hesitation what-so-ever. Price-wise, normally I wouldn’t spend this much on a product such as lotion, but my $20.00 bill had this written all over it. After using it for just about two weeks now, I can honestly say that I love it, it’s not sticky once you put it on and it absorbs into the skin very quickly. My new favorite!!
Here are a few visuals of my new best friend.
In terms of where to find this and other Soap and Glory products… In Canada: Shoppers Drug Mart, in the US: Sephora, and in the UK: Boots… or you could check out their website here.
